Graduated from University of Mary-Hardin Baylor where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise & Sport Science while also playing for the Crusader baseball team. He later went on to graduate from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016. Currently, he is working through the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine-US to become a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) with goals to later pursue a Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) and ScD. His professional interests include functional analysis of overhead athletes, injury prevention, performance enhancement, return to sport, and diagnosis/management of the spine. Outside of work he loves his new role as "Uncle J", traveling, experimenting with new foods, and exploring all that Alaska has to offer with his golden retriever.
